In 2018 there have been 125 recalls on food. This includes everything from pepperoni sticks to romaine lettuce, 20 million lbs of food in all.* Wal-mart recognizes this issue and has made it mandatory for leafy green providers to be part of their supply chain on a blockchain created with IBM. On April 25th we will be presenting the many ways blockchain technology is making industrialized food safer and explore the ways that blockchain can help food justice initiatives.
